Berko İlaç, which has contributed to the development of the health of newborn, infant and child for more than 30 years, develops its products in its own R & D laboratories and manufactures them in its own production facilities. Berko İlaç, which mainly focuses on baby-child health in its product portfolio, continues to produce innovative products in this area. Based upon this approach Berko İlaç, renewed the formula of Zinco Drop, which has been used for removing gas complaints of the infants for many years.
Berko İlaç informed journalists about the new formula of Zinco Drop with press conference and discussed the topic called “Nutrition in Infants and Frequently Asked Questions“. Prof.Dr.Benal Büyükgebiz, Expert of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, who delivered information at the meeting held in Portaxe Baltalimanı, addressed the importance of breast milk in infant feeding, development of digestive system and gas formation in infants, benefits of natural and herbal products used in gas pains and importance of ACD3 vitamins. Prof.Dr. Büyükgebiz said in the meeting that “Colic, in other words, ‘infantile colic’ is a condition we have seen in many healthy babies in the first three months of life. Due to gas pains, the infant often pulls his feet on his stomach and cries with a high pitched tone as if he was hurting. It is also very unsettling for parents. Proper feeding techniques and not swallowing the air during breastfeeding are important to prevent infantile colic. There is no accepted approach that gives positive results to prevent the infantile colic for every baby. Many different approaches are tried. A frequently preferred approach is to use herbal products. In the context of these products, the presence of herbs that are well known to be effective on the gastrointestinal tract and widely used traditionally for a long time is very important”.
