Berat Beran's book "Bedel-Kadim Topraklarda", published by Doğan Kitap, deals sociologically with the effects of blood feuds that have been going on for centuries in Anatolian lands on society. The novel depicts the exemplary adventure of Seydo, who resists and refuses to give in despite the relentless and persistent efforts of social pressure, honour pressure and blood feuds.
Berat Beran, who writes poems and stories in which he expresses his admiration for the land where he was born, wrote his first story book Henek, in which he tells about his childhood and his pharmacy. When Henek was very popular, he continued his writing adventure along with his business life. Then he published Henek 2, his first novel and a book of poetry called Asmin. Beran, who became a doyen with his industrialist identity, became the centerof attention with his life story and his biography book titled " Nenem, Babam ve Ben" was published by Doğan Kitap.
Berat Beran is married and has four children and four grandchildren. He continues his active business life as the Chairman of the Board Berko Pharmaceuticals, one of the most important local producers in the pharmaceutical industry and Turkey.
