Berko Pharmaceuticals Receives R&D Center Certificate

Berko Pharmaceuticals received its "R&D Center Certificate" at the 7th Technology Development Zones and R&D Centers Award Ceremony.

Berko Pharmaceuticals R&D Coordinator Serap Odabaşı received the R&D Center certificate at the 7th Technology Development Zones and R&D Centers Award Ceremony held with the participation of Mustafa Varank, Minister of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey.

Established on the third floor of the Phase III building of Berko Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Sites, Berko R&D Center was approved as an R&D Center by the Ministry of Industry and Technology on 30 July 2018 following a successful audit process. With this approval, Berko R&D Center has taken its place among the few accredited R&D Centers and Berko Pharmaceuticals has become the 31st pharmaceutical company to hold an accredited R&D Center certificate among 364 domestic companies serving the pharmaceutical industry in Turkey.

Berko Pharmaceuticals R&D Coordinator Serap Odabaşı said, "Berko Pharmaceuticals continues its activities rapidly and uninterruptedly to achieve collaborative and modern R&D targets that can respond to the needs of the society with planned research and development activities, reveal different technical approaches, have scientific output logic, and have collaborative and contemporary R&D targets. Within Berko Pharmaceuticals, 17 self-funded projects and 3 projects supported by TÜBİTAK are being carried out. Our R&D Center, which consists of 21 people in total, consists of 4 departments: analytical, formulation, technical documentation and intellectual property rights unit. We aim to take our place in national development by continuing our activities uninterruptedly with the employment of researchers, pharmacists, chemists, chemists, engineers, technicians who have the competence to carry out research and development activities and academic collaborations."
