A protocol was signed with Berko Pharmaceuticals for the project titled "Synthesis of Remifentanyl and Fentanyl Active Ingredients and Derivatives through Effective and New Methods" within the scope of the Research Universities Support Program of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

Barış Özyurtlu was the guest of Rector Professor Doctor Ömer Çomaklı at Atatürk University to sign a protocol in the field of sector-universitycollaboration. A protocol was signed with Berko Pharmaceuticals, May Pharma and Altobio Pharmaceuticals for the project titled "Synthesis of Remifentanil and Fentanyl Active Substances and Derivatives through Effective and New Methods" supported by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) within the scope of the Research Universities Support Programme and carried out by Associate Professor Bilal Nişancı.
Vice Rector Professor Doctor Ayşe Bayrakçeken Yurtcan, Berko Pharmaceuticals General Manager Pharmacist Barış Özyurtlu, May Pharma Chairman of the Board of Directors Mücahit Yinanç and Project Coordinator Mahmut Esat Yinanç, Altobio Pharmaceuticals General Manager Ahmet Altuğ Oğuz and Clinical Research Vaccine and Drug Coordination Department Faculty Members Professor Doctor Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu and Associate Professor Doctor Serdar Burmaoğlu took part in the signing ceremony.
Professor Doctor Ömer Çomaklı, Rector of Atatürk University, stated that this protocol signed with pharmaceutical companies is important in terms of university-industry collaboration and that Atatürk University will always be intertwined with the sector with various projects and collaborations.
