Berko Pharmaceuticals, which continues to contribute to the society with its social responsibility projects, was deemed worthy of the "Most Successful Social Responsibility Project of the Year" award at the Social Responsibility in Health Awards with its "Get a Plastic Cap " project.
Within the scope of the 12th "Social Responsibility in Health Awards" organised this year, Berko Pharmaceuticals received the "Most Successful Social Responsibility Project of the Year" award with its "Get a Plastic Cap " project. At the ceremony organised by Health Volunteers Turkey and Hospitalmanager Magazine, the awards were presented to individuals and organisations selected by a jury consisting of Turkey's leading names in the field of health management. Berko Pharmaceuticals received the award together with Berko Pharmaceuticals Board Member and Corporate Communications Director Eylem Beran and The Turkish Spinal Cord Paralytics Association (TOFD) Vice President Semra Çetinkaya.
Speaking while receiving the award, Eylem Beran said, "It is very pleasing to be present at such a platform where such doyen professors and health managers are together and receive awards and to be deemed worthy of the award. As Berko, I think we have raised the perception of social responsibility among pharmaceutical companies with the social responsibility projects we carry out. The "Get a Plastic Cap" campaign has been supported for two years
Berko Pharmaceuticals, which sets out with the perspective of creating value in society, has been supporting TOFD's (The Spinal Cord Paralytics Association of Turkey) successful "Get A Plastic Cap" campaign for two years. Last year, Berko Pharmaceuticals placed 350 plastic lid collection boxes at important points of hospitals and family health centers across Istanbul, and this year, it placed 150 plastic lid collection boxes at hospitals and family health centers across Turkey.
1 tonne of plastic caps were collected and 4 manual wheelchairs were purchased
The Spinal Cord Paralytics Association of Turkey has been conducting the plastic cap collection campaign "Get a Plastic Cap " since 2011 in order to ensure the full and effective participation of orthopaedically disabled individuals in social life. Thanks to the plastic caps collected through the campaign, battery powered and manual wheelchairs are purchased for orthopaedically disabled citizens who apply to the association. Berko Pharmaceuticals has been instrumental in collecting 1 tonne of plastic caps and purchasing 4 manual wheelchairs within the scope of the project so far.
